03/01/2013 Tips from Podcasting Experts
The benefits of podcasting are plentiful:

Creating a podcast is simple and inexpensive
You have a captive audience, because people often listen to podcasts while they are doing something that keeps them from reading or watching videos, like driving in their car or running on a treadmill.
You are quite literally inside your audience’s head, and they feel like they know you.
People subscribe to your podcast, so it’s delivered to them automatically, not unlike an email newsletter.

02/26/2013 Podcasting for Internal Communications
How to use a podcast internally

It might be easier to grasp the idea of a podcast for external marketing. However, organizations do produce podcasts to reach internal audiences, to complement the employee newsletter, intranet and other communications. At one organization in the U.S., the communications manager told me that after he started up a podcast, many employees made listening to the weekly show part of their Monday morning routine. The producers covered such topics as new business, the employee assistance program, the occasional message from the CEO, and human-interest stories.

As a business owner you know how busy you are doing everything you need to do to make a living. You are no different than the business owner next door who has so little time in a day that she can no longer watch the evening news. More and more busy people are turning to podcasts to obtain current and relevant information about the news, trade information, and entertainment. With these steps you can tap into that busy audience and expand your customer base.

02/22/2013 Simple Guide to Academic Podcasting
Podcasts are rapidly becoming a regular feature of online research dissemination and university brand-building, so why do only a minority of academics use them to share their research? In the first of a three-part series, LSE Review of Books Digital Editor Cheryl Brumley demystifies academic podcasting, showing that it can be a labour of love or an inexpensive side-hobby, with a vast spectrum running in between. Whichever direction you choose to go is dependent on your audience, your interests, and your schedule.

02/21/2013 Podcasting as a Support Tool in the Classroom
In the last twenty five years, technology has dramatically influenced almost all walks of life, including education. The contemporary education system uses technology to a great extent, going on to prove, that without technology, education will be eclipsed.

The use of power point presentation, overhead projector, computer-based testing, student independent learning,  all these are a kind of shift from traditional teaching to modernity in the teaching-learning Process. Classroom instruction occupies a pivotal position in the entire education process.

Podcasting is the latest technology in education. The term podcast has come from combining the words ipod and broadcasting.

02/20/2013 Ron Paul to Send His Message via Podcast
Just because he is retired from politics does not mean Ron Paul is slowing down: the former congressman from Texas and three-time presidential hopeful will soon have his own spot on national radio.

Dr. Paul, who retired from Congress earlier this year after a failed bid at the Republican Party’s nomination for president, has inked a deal with the Courtside Entertainment Group that will let him broadcast brief one-minute radio commentaries twice a day across the country. Dr. Pauls segments will also be compiled for a weekly podcast, available to download for those who miss his daily addresses.

02/19/2013 If You Were a Content Tree, What Kind Would You Be?
To make social SEO work for you, you have to practice it. A lot. Some recommend posting a blog a day, or at least several times per week. To create all that content, you had better like doing it. So we have to ask, What do you naturally like to do? Some of us are writers. Others are talkers, and still others are visual people.
02/18/2013 Podcasting for Faith
The Internet has made spreading faith significantly easier. In the past, community residents were limited to the churches, temples and houses of worships that were available within driving distances. Coordinating schedules with sermons could be challenging for busy families.

The Internet has opened the doors to a diverse congregation that exists beyond the traditional borders that communities have become accustom to. Using technology as a communication medium has not been lost on spiritual leaders and many have embraced the Internet as a medium to spread their faith.

02/15/2013 Suggested Steps for Podcasters
The steps to developing personal branding for women entrepreneurs through podcasting include:

1. The Introduction - should include the hook, which is the reason why listeners need to listen to the rest of the call. People are busy and need to know why they should invest their time to listen. Podcasts for business owners need to identify what is in it for them.

2. The Main Message - should provide listeners with a tip, strategy or information that is useful and valuable and something that they can implement within their lives and or business.

3. The Call to Action - should inform and encourage listeners to take the next step – whatever that step may be. This should be specific to the target audiences needs and interests.

02/13/2013 Podcasting Resurrection Response
In his post titled The Resurrection of Podcasting, Mitch Joel asks the question Does anyone listen to podcasts anymore? Does anyone even care?

Yes Joel, I am listening, I care. So do nearly twice the number of people who have Twitter accounts. According to Edison Research, 17% of the U.S. population has listened/viewed a podcast in the last month and 29% have listened to a podcast at some point in the past. For comparison, only 10% of the U.S. population have Twitter accounts. Is Twitter dead?  The Resurrection of Podcasting title makes it sound as if podcasting was dead. Podcasting was never dead! Awkward teenage phase, maybe. But never dead.
