Off
Page Web Optimization
Webmasters have far less control over the off-page optimization
factors than they do the on-page optimization factors. Off-page
optimization does, however, influence how a website ranks in
search results, so it should not be ignored.
Use the following off-page optimization techniques to improve
your website search engine ranking: Off

iPod nano: An Apple Marketing Misstep?
The new iPod nano offers less than the old one - no camera,
no video, no microphone for voice recording, and a smaller screen
in a smaller iPod - yet Apple wants to charge the same money.
The 6G Nano looks like a larger iPod shuffle with a screen,
but it costs $100 more. It looks like so much less iPod than
the iPod touch that many may ignore it.
Maybe this easy upsell to the iPod touch is what Apple wants,
but there is a large gap between the $229 8 GB Touch and the
$49 Shuffle, and large gaps encourage competition.

Local
podcasters become Web TV stars using Roku
That once-challenging feat has become simpler as traditional
television and the Internet have become intertwined. This puts
tired old TV on the cusp of a revolution and gives more content
creators a shot at a mainstream TV audience.
Spacevidcast is one of the many content offerings on Roku boxes,
the increasingly popular TV set-top devices that give television
viewers access to a treasure trove of Internet-based audio and
video programming. This ranges from top-tier offerings like
Netflix and MLB.com to niche shows like Spacevidcast that are
produced on a relative shoestring.

Podcasting
is Not Just for Marketing
Information and Education Can Be Relayed
You do not have to market to sell something. While that seems
odd, and even contradictory, consider that consumers no longer
want to be talked at or sold to, rather they want to be the
chooser, and if you can educate them, they just might choose
you.
Think back to the last few purchases you made. You probably
purchased because you needed (or thought you needed) the item
in question. We purchase, usually, to fill needs. If your podcast
can educate listeners as to thier needs for your product, without
ever mentioning the product, then you have created a need where
there once was not one.

Combine
Blogging and Podcasting
Podcasting and blogging can very easily go together to make
powerful assets for brands, organizations, and businesses. When
combined effectively, they can play off of one particular yet
another and lead to a very efficient, on-going promotional campaign.
If you occur to have a podcast without a blog as its counterpart,
you are missing out on an easy-to-grab chance to boost your
listeners!
