10/07/2008 Wedding Podcasters Battle Over Names
In 2006, veteran Essex County wedding videographer Robert
Ehrlich and his wife ventured into the emerging world of podcasting,
starting a website where newly engaged couples could download
shows to their iPods about planning a wedding, choosing a dress,
selecting a florist and planning a honeymoon. They called their
site the Wedding Podcast Network.
A few months later, Ralph Mucci, another veteran Essex County
wedding videographer, also started a website where newly engaged
couples could download shows to their iPods about planning a
wedding, choosing a dress, selecting a florist and planning
a honeymoon.
He called his site the Wedding Podcast Channel.
Coincidence?
No, say Ehrlich and his wife, Holli.
The Wedding Podcast Network vs. Wedding Podcast Channel case
is one of a growing number of website disputes ending up in
the courts, said Matt Zimmerman, senior staff attorney with
the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a California-based nonprofit
group that specializes in free speech on the internet.

Apple to court over what it calls unfair barriers to playing

countries would follow the Norwegian example and file their
own cases against the U.S. computer giant.

09/29/2008 Developer Frustration Growing with Apple
Application developers certainly need some assurance whenever
they spend money and time for their creations. According to
Jason Snell, the editorial director of Macworld, Apple Inc.
is now lacking the transparency that the developers need. Aside
from that, the company also does not have enough clarity as
well on how they would reject or approve applications that will
be available on the App Store. These are the applications that
would work on the Apple devices such as the iPod Touch and the
iPhone. Jason Snell said that these factors may lead the developers
to a point where they would just walk away from creating iPhone
Apps.
